Agribusiness
This major prepares you for a career in the nation’s growing business of producing, processing, and distributing food and fiber, in both traditional agribusinesses and nonagricultural companies. It is jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Mays Business School.

Agricultural Economics
We expose students to a broad scope of issues related to agriculture, food, and managerial and resource economics. Our major is designed for students interested in starting businesses, banking and lending, real estate investment, public policy, or food marketing and trading.

Horticulture (Bachelor of Arts)

Agricultural Systems Management
Graduates in Agricultural Systems Management manage people, money, and machines in the food and agricultural industries. Our students focus on practical experience in food-processing systems, water management, machinery and power systems, electrical systems, and electronics.

Biological and Agricultural Engineering
Apply knowledge of physical and biological sciences, mathematics, and engineering principles to the production and processing of food and fiber, the preservation and quality of water resources, and biological systems and machinery.

Spatial Sciences

Bioenvironmental Sciences
This interdisciplinary environmental degree equips you to play a direct role in developing solutions to environmental problems. Students design an experience in areas such as environmental hazards and regulations, alternative energy sources, environmental sampling, and pathogens and plant diseases.

Plant and Environment Soil Sciences
Study plants, soils, water, and air and their interaction in the environment. Students can learn how to measure environmental change through soil and water quality. The Plant Science career path emphasizes agronomy, plant breeding, plant genetics, crop physiology, plant pathology, and environmental agronomy.
