International Development Short Course July 27-31

COLLEGE STATION-- A five-day short course on the “Design and Management of International Development Projects” will be presented July 27-31 on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station. The event will be hosted by the Norman Borlaug Institute for International Development, a part of the Texas A&M System.

“This intensive five-day course which will focus on providing and sharing real-world experiences for the participants,” said Cathyrn Clement, academic coordinator for the Borlaug Institute. “Discussions and presentations will emphasize a comprehensive understanding of how complex issues and cross-cutting themes need to be integrated during the design and management of international development projects.”

Participants also will learn different tools and resources used to analyze projects, in addition to a hands-on preparation of a case study guided by international development experts.

The course fee of $1,100 includes materials and lunches. Seating is limited to 30 participants. Deadline for application is July 20.

A limited number of grants are available to graduate students from Texas A&M System universities. The deadline to apply for a grant is July 6.
