35 Selected to Freshman Leadership Experience

COLLEGE STATION—Thirty-five new students have been selected to participate in the 2009-2010 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Freshmen Leadership Experience at Texas A&M University.
According to Dr. Danielle Harris, assistant dean for student success, and advisor for the organization, the Freshman Leadership Experience helps students develop professionalism, appreciation for diversity, and leadership skills through service in the college and community. It is one of 10 officially recognized Freshman Leadership Organizations (FLO) at the university.
According to the FLO website, http://flos.tamu.edu, “A freshman leadership organization provides opportunities for freshmen to meet other freshmen, build lasting relationships with upperclassmen, assume leadership roles within the organization, and plan both internal and external programs and events for members of the Class of 2013.”
New members are: Andy Adams, James Alders, Kevin Bredemeyer, Julie Butler, Casey Cody, Kaitlin Coward, Brandy Dangelmayr, Grady Douglass, Michael Edwards, William Goodwin, Patricia Gregoire, Joseph Harris, Brittany Hicks, Whitney Hinze, Karley Kosub, Dustin Leiferman, Landon Lindsay, Kacie Loessberg, Emily Lord, Claire Luensmann, Kari Moore, Mai Nguyen, Daniel Olson, Jake Pieniazek, Stephanie Riddle, William Rooney, Kendall Scheel, Ashleigh Sowell, Adam teVelde, Ashleigh Vanderveer, Miles Vann, Angelica Vela, Hannah Weaver, Will Whitaker, and Kelsey Willberg.

With an enrollment of almost 6,700 students in 14 academic departments, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degrees and has a faculty of nearly 400 members, including two Nobel laureates.
