Ag Career Expo Oct. 6-7
Sept. 29, 2009
COLLEGE STATION—While analysts debate whether the recession is ending or not, one thing is true no matter what the state of the economy: People still need to eat.
And companies that are related to the agricultural industry are still hiring.
According to student organizers of Texas A&M University’s ACE Day, the Agricultural Career Expo, at least 45 agriculturally related companies plan to attend the event to share employment information and interview prospective employees.
Companies on the list of attendees include Cargill, John Deere, Land O’ Lakes, Monsanto, Sanderson Farms, and Tyson Foods as well as more than three dozen other agribusinesses and governmental agencies.
ACE Day will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 6-7, in the Kleberg Center on the West campus of Texas A&M in College Station. All Texas A&M students, especially those from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, are encouraged to attend.
