Caroline Jojo is from Allen, Texas and recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a minor in Business. She currently is pursuing her Master’s in Public Health at Texas Tech University and plans to attend medical school. During her time at Texas A&M, Caroline conducted research in Adam Case’s lab, exploring the intersection between the immune system and the cardiovascular system. She also explored the healthcare sector of Brazos County through her job at CSL Plasma. These experiences have developed her passion for equal healthcare across socioeconomic groups, with a heavy emphasis on improving access to care. After completing medical school Caroline hopes to use her experiences from this internship and serve as a consultant to healthcare policy. This Fall, Caroline is excited to explore the Washington, D.C area and deepen her understanding of healthcare policy and how it influences Americans nationwide
