Office of Congressman Randy Weber
Colton W. Reich is from Angleton, Texas, and is pursuing a degree in agricultural economics with an emphasis in finance and real estate and a minor in economics at Texas A&M University. He plans to graduate in May 2026. At Texas A&M, Colton serves as Co-Treasurer for the Society of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate and is an active member of both the Agricultural Economics Society and the Texas A&M Pre-Law Society.
Raised on his family’s operation, where he helped manage a registered Beefmaster herd, Colton developed a strong appreciation for the agricultural industry and its economic importance. His upbringing in production agriculture inspired his interest in agricultural finance, regulatory law, and energy policy. Through his academic and extracurricular experiences, he has become particularly interested in the intersection of law, markets, and policy affecting rural communities and agribusiness development.
Colton is passionate about advancing sound policy that supports the long-term sustainability of the agriculture and energy sectors. He aspires to pursue a career that integrates his interests in finance, law, and public policy to strengthen the economic foundation of American agriculture. With that in mind, Colton is hoping to learn all about the energy and agricultural policy sectors while interning with the Office of Congressman Randy Weber this spring.
