Office of Congressman Ronny Jackson
Trace DeArmond is a third-generation Aggie from Levelland, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics with a concentration in Policy and Economic Analysis, along with a minor in Business from Mays Business School. Trace has been surrounded by agriculture from a young age, with his great-grandfather farming hundreds of acres of cotton in and around the Levelland area and his parents raising and exhibiting show goats all over the country. But Trace truly found his passion for agriculture as a member of FFA and 4-H. These organizations allowed Trace to exhibit show lamb projects alongside his three siblings all over the country. At Texas A&M, he has grown a passion for agricultural policy through interactions with professors and peers. He was also a member of the Texas A&M Livestock Judging Team, a team that goes all over the country competing in contests against the nation’s best.
This spring, Trace is interning with the Office of Congressman Ronny Jackson. During this internship, he plans to apply his passion for agriculture along with his current knowledge of the policy making process. He hopes to continue to learn more about different policy areas beyond agricultural policy, as well as gain firsthand experience from the nation’s leaders in the policy making system.
