Office of Congressman August Pfluger
William Ince is a third-generation Aggie from the small Central Texas town of Mason. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and a certificate in Philosophy and Pre-law. Growing up in a rural community, Will understands the importance of the American producer, and after taking classes at Texas A&M, he realizes the significance of public policy on those producers. During a class trip to Washington, D.C., with the Agricultural and Food Policy Center (AFPC), his passion for policy was further realized, and it motivated him to apply for the Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy (ANRP) Internship Program.
During his time at Texas A&M, Will was heavily involved in student organizations within the Department of Agricultural Economics, as well as the university. He served as the Vice President of the Agricultural Economics Aggie REPs and was very involved in his men’s organization, Aggie Vanguard. Will also served as a peer mentor for a First Year Experience class for a group of first-semester freshmen.
This spring, William is interning with the Office of Congressman August Pfluger. Through his internship, he aims to apply his passion for policy and gain the necessary skills to better understand the legislative process and how policy decisions impact rural communities.
