Office of Congressman Michael Cloud

Davis Nix is a student at Texas A&M University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a strong interest in agricultural policy and public service. Originally from a production agriculture background, Davis developed an early appreciation for the livestock industry and the role agriculture plays in supporting rural communities and strengthening the nation’s food system.
At Texas A&M, Davis has been actively involved in leadership and outreach organizations that promote agriculture and student engagement. He currently serves as President of the Animal Science Ambassadors and is actively involved in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council, Saddle and Sirloin, the Meat Science and Technology Association, and Collegiate Farm Bureau. Davis has also participated in wool judging, meat judging, meat animal evaluation, and livestock judging, where he developed strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
During the summer of 2026, Davis is serving as an intern in Washington, D.C. with the Office of Congressman Michael Cloud, representing Texas’s 27th Congressional District. In this role, he looks forward to gaining firsthand experience in the legislative process and learning how federal policy impacts agriculture and rural communities. Davis is passionate about connecting producers with policymakers and hopes to pursue a career in agricultural policy while remaining closely connected to the livestock industry.
