Bose Public Affairs Group

Whitley Anderson is interning with Bose Public Affairs Group. She is a junior agricultural communications and journalism and agricultural leadership and development double major from Snyder, Texas. Her interest in policy began when she visited Washington, D.C., with Texas Farm Bureau during her senior year of high school, allowing her the opportunity to meet with elected officials and interest groups in the nation’s capital. This trip sparked a passion for agricultural advocacy and policy. Growing up in a rural community with parents working in the agriculture industry further shaped her interests, leading her to focus on rural development, water usage, and agricultural education and advocacy.
At Texas A&M University, Whitley is actively involved in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She participates in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Council, Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Representatives, and is a member of the Texas A&M Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for two semesters and conducts undergraduate research exploring how agricultural organizations can effectively use artificial intelligence to communicate with consumers and Gen Z audiences. In addition, she is involved in her local church, Brazos Fellowship, where she serves in youth, college, and main services.
Whitley plans to pursue a master’s degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications at Texas A&M University. She looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the public policy process and developing the skills needed to effectively advocate for agriculture and other industries to policymakers and the public.
