Miller Metzler

Miller Metzler is from Cuero, Texas, where he grew up working on his family’s ranch and developed a deep appreciation for the producers who sustain rural communities. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Public Policy Analysis at Texas A&M University, graduating in May 2027. His academic interests center on agricultural policy, rural development, and the intersection of economics and federal decision-making.
Miller recently participated in an honors field experience in Washington, D.C. through AGEC 429, where he engaged with policymakers, agency staff, and industry leaders to better understand how federal agricultural policy is shaped and implemented. This experience strengthened his commitment to representing farmers and ranchers in the policy arena.
His professional background includes hands-on work in ranching, construction, and service industry operations. From managing brush control and livestock care at Cross Bar Ranch to supporting job site operations with Rafter J. Construction, Miller has built a strong work ethic rooted in responsibility, teamwork, and adaptability. He has also served in leadership roles on campus, including Vice President of the National Agri Marketing Association (NAMA) chapter, where he contributed to product development, member engagement, and professional development programming.
Miller is passionate about advocating for agricultural producers and hopes to pursue a career in policy and legislative affairs. He brings his rural background, policy interests, and commitment to service to his internship with the Office of Congressman Michael Cloud.
