Wiley Bilby
Office of Senator Ted Cruz
Wiley Bilby is a senior at Texas A&M University from Weatherford, Texas, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural leadership & development with minors in leadership in the design and construction professions (LDCP) and geographic information science & technology (GIST). Originally from a production agriculture and equipment finance background, Wiley developed an interest in resource management and infrastructure, learning how essential resources (such as water and oil) power daily operations across industries. This has guided him toward extensive work in the road construction industry, complemented by additional experience in livestock operations.
Outside of his academics at Texas A&M, Wiley has become actively involved with hands-on, skill-building organizations that promote craftsmanship, discipline, and community outreach & engagement. He participates in Texas A&M Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Saddles & Sirloins, the Associated General Contractors Student Chapter, and the Aggie Blacksmithing Club in leadership positions. These have strengthened his collaborative problem-solving abilities and technical creativity, allowing him to gain a diverse set of skills that complement his academic work in leadership, resource management, and infrastructure.
During the fall 2026 semester, Wiley is serving as an intern in Washington, D.C., for the Office of Senator Ted Cruz. As an intern, he hopes to build meaningful connections, gain firsthand experience in federal operations, and support the work of his hosting office. Wiley is passionate about infrastructure and resource management and hopes to pursue a future career in public service, where he can contribute to sustainable development across construction and natural resource sectors.
