 AGLS Career Closet

The AGLS Career Closet is a pocket closet in collaboration with the Texas A&M Career Closet. Our purpose is to amplify their mission of enhancing the professionalism of Texas A&M students while alleviating the financial burden that is inherently associated with launching a career.

Thank you for supporting the AGLS Career Closet! Your donations help equip our students for success both in and out of the classroom.

Career Closet Shopping Process for Students

Our Career Closet is here to help you look and feel your best for professional opportunities! Follow the steps below to access the closet and take up to 5 free items per semester.

Step 1: Schedule an Appointment

Students must schedule a time to visit the Career Closet.

  • To schedule an appointment please email the AGLS Career Services team at [email protected]
  • In your email, please include your name, major, graduation date and event you are needing professional attire for.

Step 2: Entry Requirements

After you schedule your appointment, make sure you have completed the following:

  • Obtained info about the professional event you are attending (e.g., career fair, interview, conference).
  • Activated your account on HireAggies to access career resources and opportunities.
  • Updated your resume, and added it to your HireAggies account.

These items serve as your “entry ticket” to the Career Closet.

Step 3: Check-In

  • Upon arrival, check in with a staff member in AGLS 517 BEFORE shopping.
  • Provide your event details, our team will confirm the activation your HireAggies account and resume submission.
  • Our team will log your visit digitally to track your item allowance for the semester.

Step 4: Shop the Closet

  • Browse our collection of professional attire, including suits, dresses, shirts, and accessories.
  • You may select up to 5 items per semester at no cost.

Step 5: Check-Out

  • Finalize your selections with a staff member who will update your digital record to track the items you’ve taken.
  • Leave with confidence, knowing you are professionally prepared for your upcoming event!

If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]. We look forward to helping you dress for success!

Other information about shopping the Career Closet:

Trying on Clothes: While we do not have designated dressing rooms, students are welcome to use the nearby restrooms to try on clothing during their visit. Items may be taken home to try on. However, they must be returned within three days in the same condition they were borrowed. Students are responsible for any cleaning necessary before returning items. You will be asked to sign an agreement before exiting the closet. This ensures that all students have access to clean and professional attire.

Shopping Assistance: We understand the importance of feeling comfortable while shopping for professional attire. If you would prefer to shop with a staff member or volunteer of a specific gender, we are happy to accommodate your request. Please let us know when scheduling your appointment, or contact us in advance at [email protected], so we can ensure the right team member is available to assist you. Your comfort and confidence are our top priorities!
