AGLS on Tour

What is AGLS on Tour?

AGLS on Tour is an initiative led by Jeffrey W. Savell, vice chancellor and dean for the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, designed to bring together admitted and prospective students with the full range of opportunities across our 15 departments. This tour connects future Aggies with faculty, current students and college leadership, introducing them to the supportive community that’s here to help them achieve their career and life aspirations.

AGLS on Tour provides an engaging space for prospective and admitted students to see firsthand how the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences can serve as a launchpad for their future. Through conversations with faculty and college leadership, and personal stories from current students, participants gain authentic insights into life within the College.

Thanks to the support of the College of Agriculture Development Council, admitted student attendees are also entered into a drawing for a competitive academic scholarship.

Quote from Dr. Jeffery Savell

“AGLS on Tour helps us find and create a personal connection with the best and brightest future generation of Aggies. We are actively reaching out to prospective students in hopes of introducing them to our supportive atmosphere and showing them how we are a home for learning, discovery, and innovation.”

– Jeffrey Savell, Ph.D.

Quote from Robert Sturdivant

“This tour provides students with an authentic insight into life within our College. Being able to speak with students in person has been impactful. They get to ask questions, meet Aggies and, most importantly, see how a degree from our College is more than education — it’s a lifelong support network.”

– Robert Sturdivant
Program Coordinator II – Student Development
