Andrea Amaya '29

Biography

Andrea Amaya ’29 is passionate about food and driven by a creative spirit and has long envisioned a career in the food industry. Her interest was solidified after completing an internship focused on food safety and product development, an experience that confirmed her desire to pursue a career in food research or product innovation.

Andrea is grateful for the support of the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship program, which has allowed her to pursue her education at Texas A&M University with reduced financial stress. This support enables her to focus more fully on her academic and professional development.

Outside of the classroom, Andrea enjoys baking, cooking, and staying active. She is a dedicated fitness enthusiast who teaches pilates classes and participates in long-distance running.
