Biography
Maddox Fisher ’29 is passionate about agricultural advocacy and communication. In high school, she was actively involved in FFA, raising lambs and goats for five years and competing in public speaking and career development events at the area and state levels. She also served her chapter as president and vice president, helping grow membership and representing the organization at various community outreach events.
Maddox’s interest in agriculture was shaped by time spent on her grandad’s multi-generational cattle ranch, where she developed a deep respect for producers and a strong desire to amplify their voices. She is particularly interested in pursuing a career in agricultural policy or public relations, with the goal of connecting the industry more closely with the broader public and addressing the challenges faced by farmers and ranchers nationwide. She is honored to be a recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship, which allows her to explore her academic interests and career goals more fully over the next four years and the opportunities Texas A&M University offers her.
