Biography
Lorelai Martinez ’29 is a first-generation Aggie. In high school, she remained in the top 1% of her class while being involved in drill team, golf and FFA, where she raised market swine and lambs. Apart from these extracurricular activities, Lorelai remained active in many different organizations such as 4-H and piano and earned the Gold Award in Girl Scouts. Lorelai is passionate about community service, agriculture and mental health. She values her family and enjoys spending her free time with loved ones. She also loves to go to the movies and try new places to eat.
Lorelai chose poultry science to gain hands-on learning experiences and a well-rounded education in science as she prepares for medical school. She plans to one day obtain her medical degree in psychiatry. She has always been passionate about psychology and plans to further her knowledge with a minor at Texas A&M. The Dean’s Excellence Scholarship program has been a true blessing for her, proving that her hard work, passion and determination did not go unnoticed.
