
Claudia Garcia, a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, is a first-generation Aggie from Corsicana, Texas. In May of this year, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioenvironmental Sciences, as well as a Philosophy minor and a Pre-Law certificate. During her time at Texas A&M University, she was involved in various campus organizations that advanced her passion for law and advocacy. She was an active member of the Pre-Law Society where she networked with legal professionals and learned about various career paths in law. In addition to her organizational experience, Claudia also gained professional hands-on experience through her internship with the Brazos County District Attorneys Office. Here, she observed jury trials and voir dire, helped organize events, and deepened her understanding of trial procedures.
Claudia will be interning with the Congressional Office of Monica De La Cruz in Washington, D.C. to apply her previous knowledge of local trial procedures and public policy towards the legislative process in Congress. Following this internship, she will attend Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas to study the law, practice her writing and trial skills, and participate in Baylor’s infamous Practice Court Program in pursuit of a career in corporate litigation.
