Mackenzie Schneider is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate, along with a minor in Agrifood Sales. Originally from a small town just outside of Devine, Texas, she developed a strong connection to rural life and agriculture from an early age.
While at Texas A&M, she was actively involved in the Department of Agricultural Economics, serving as a teaching assistant for the Agrifood Sales minor and participating in the Agricultural Economics Society. A recent trip to Washington, D.C. with the Agricultural and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M further ignited her passion for agricultural policy and its role in shaping the future of the industry.
She also gained research experience through her work with Texas A&M AgriLife, writing research papers for the Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI). These opportunities have strengthened her commitment to supporting agriculture and rural communities through policy and research.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and being with her friends and family. This fall she will be interning in the office of Representative Michael Cloud with hopes to expand her knowledge of agricultural policy and refine her problem-solving skills related to rural America.
