Biography
Miranda Skaggs ’27 has raised and exhibited breeding heifers, market steers, and market barrows for ten years. She began her journey as an Aggie after serving as the 2021 Texas 4-H Council secretary, 2022 Area XII FFA vice president, and 2022 Texas FFA Ford Leadership Scholar. On campus, Miranda has been involved in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Freshman Experience, COALS FX, Texas Aggie Cattlewomen, Aron and Mary Lois Savell Leadership Mentor Program, and as the sponsorship and awards coordinator at the 2023 Saddle and Sirloin Club Futurity, which raised money for the collegiate livestock judging team and the Saddle and Sirloin Club.
She is a member of the service committee on the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council and a member of the 2023 class of Texas A&M University President’s Endowed Scholars. She is a student worker for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Junior Master Gardener Program, where she designs biweekly newsletters reaching more than 8,000 people nationwide, as well as creates training materials for program conferences across the country. In her free time, Miranda enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and watching Aggie sports. Upon graduation from Texas A&M, Miranda plans to attend the Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth and pursue a career in agricultural law.
