Biochemistry is the study of the natural world at a cellular and molecular level to better understand the chemical and physical processes that govern living cells. A biochemistry major provides students with a solid background in chemistry, the physical sciences, and the biological sciences, and many versatile career and education options upon completion of their degree.
Our program equips students with the skillset required for success in graduate, medical, or professional school. All biochemistry majors must participate in active research being conducted on campus. Many of our undergraduates have even been published as authors on scientific papers and in journal articles.
