In 2022, Texas State Parks and the National Park Service received more than 321 million visits, showcasing the importance of outdoor recreation, as well as the need for professionals who can effectively and sustainably manage these natural and cultural resources.
The park and natural resource management minor integrates concepts of bio-environmental sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and policy and administrative decision making to equip future land managers and related professionals with skills necessary for the management of natural and cultural resources associated with parks and other protected areas.
This minor complements a wide array of majors and paves the way for careers with State and National Parks, city parks and recreation, non-profits, environmental education, private enterprises, youth camps and more.
