Biography
Hallie Bates ’27 grew up on her family’s small strawberry farm. In high school, she fell in love with watching seeds turn into flowers and began a cut-flower business called Eunoia Flower Farm, where she supplied local farmers markets with blooms throughout spring and summer. She is involved on campus as the Department of Horticulture Representative on the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council and the College of Agriculture and Life Science Freshman Experience, COALS FX. She also serves as a Horticultural Science Student Ambassador and is a passionate member of the Aggie Baptist Student Ministry. Hallie hopes to pursue a career in overseas mission work to promote sustainable agricultural practices and help impoverished communities build reliable agricultural systems. Hallie loves all things outdoors, including hiking, kayaking, and volleyball.
