Biography
Evelynn Landry ’28 began her journey to becoming an Aggie through her involvement in 4-H and FFA for over 10 years. She held various offices in both organizations and led service events. Her favorite project was a chicken lifestyle project where she taught elementary and special needs students about poultry. She enjoyed seeing the smiles on their faces as they interacted with the chicks.
In high school, Evelynn earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license and used it to be a private caregiver for a special needs student. At Texas A&M, she hopes to be accepted into the nursing school and pursue her dream of becoming a travel nurse, with a goal of helping those in impoverished areas abroad. On campus, Evelynn plans to join the Poultry Science Club and the Future Aggie Nurses Club.
Evelynn is very grateful for the scholarship opportunity, which allows her to pursue her dreams without financial stress. She loves being an Aggie and attending football and baseball games with friends, and she is excited to see what the future holds at Texas A&M University.
