Savay Sexton '27

Major:  Agricultural Leadership and Development
Minor:  Tourism Management
Hometown:  Cost, Texas

Biography

Savay Sexton ’27 grew up on a purebred Hereford and Angus ranch. She began her time at Texas A&M University following a ten-year career in 4-H, showing steers and heifers across Texas, competing in livestock judging and public speaking. She was heavily involved in leadership throughout the state, holding multiple leadership positions and serving on the Texas 4-H Council.

Savay is passionate about agricultural advocacy and has dedicated more than 700 hours to the Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador program. She created a three-day agriculture camp and coordinated a bucket calf program in her county for three years to help expand others’ knowledge of the agricultural industry. Savay hopes to be involved in international agritourism, coordinating international agriculture tours.

On campus, Savay is a member of the Wool Judging Team and won High Point Individual at the National Western Contest. She is involved in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Freshman Experience, COALS FX, the Saddle and Sirloin Club, and church activities. She owned a business creating more than 6,000 pairs of leather earrings that she sold across the United States. In her free time, Savay enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
