Biography
Boyu Tan ’28 grew up involved in local conservation work planting trees, recycling and removing invasive species. His love for nature led him to Texas A&M, where he hopes to gain more exposure to the subject and learn about all the ways he can contribute to protecting the environment. Boyu is extremely thankful to the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship program for providing him with support to pursue his goals and take on new opportunities such as the Aggie Research Program. He is currently working on a project through the program to gain hands-on experience with the research process and explore the possibilities it contains. He’s also excited to join student organizations like the forestry club to meet new people and familiarize himself with living in Texas. In his free time, Boyu enjoys exploring outside, playing sports like basketball or hockey, and hanging out with his friends.
