Affiliate Provider Programs

There are a number of third-party providers that offer study abroad opportunities for college students to pursue study abroad, intern, volunteer, and research programs outside of their home institution. Programs offering coursework abroad allow students to receive transfer credit while programs for intern, volunteer, or research may offer the option to earn Texas A&M, transfer, or no credit.

Texas A&M has chosen to affiliate with the following third-party providers. Their program offerings can be found in the Education Abroad Portal but the Portal does not list all the programs available from these affiliate providers. If you are unable to find a specific affiliated program or find one of their programs not listed in the Portal that you think is a good fit for you, please email [email protected].

Each provider and/or program may have different eligibility requirements. Students must meet both the TAMU and provider eligibility requirements to participate.

Application Process

Affiliate provider programs require students to pre-approve coursework with Texas A&M in their Education Abroad Portal application, as well as apply directly with the sponsoring program provider or institution to participate. The next steps in the application process are as follows:

Access the Education Abroad Portal

Create an online application through the Education Abroad Portal. If your program is listed in the search engine, you can then click “Apply Now.” If you are interested in a program offered by an affiliate provider that is not listed in the portal, please contact the transfer credit team in Education Abroad at [email protected]

Complete the online application

Complete the Education Abroad Portal application, which includes turning in the Pre-Approval Form for Transfer Credit. Education Abroad has a great overview on how to complete these steps.

Confirm participation

Upon completion of your application, you will be prompted to “confirm” your participation in the program.

Apply with your provider

Apply directly to the provider coordinating your experience to secure participation.

Both the TAMU and provider applications can be completed concurrently. Providers may charge an application fee to submit a completed application. It is recommended to get pre-approval of the courses in the program by your academic advisor prior to submitting the provider application to confirm the courses are applicable to your degree plan.
